AEW Viewership Steady Despite Heavy Competition from NHL and NCAA Finals

Last night’s AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest drew an average of 655,000 viewers on TBS. The show maintained a solid viewership despite facing significant competition from major sporting events.

The broadcast earned a 0.18 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. In the 25-54 demographic, “Dynamite” secured a 0.26 rating. The show also garnered a 0.37 household rating.

This week’s episode went head-to-head with the opening game of the NHL Stanley Cup Final and the College Softball World Series finals. The first game of the Stanley Cup Final between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers on TNT was a major draw, attracting 2.086 million viewers and a 0.64 rating in the 18-49 demographic. A simulcast of the game on truTV added another 332,000 viewers. The College Softball World Series game between Texas Tech and Texas on ESPN also proved to be stiff competition, with 2.111 million viewers and a 0.39 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

In its time slot, AEW Dynamite ranked as the eighth top prime time telecast in the adults 18-49 demographic.

When looking at the breakdown of viewership by gender in the 18-49 demographic, Dynamite had a rating of 0.14 for females and 0.23 for males. For the 25-54 demographic, the show registered a 0.17 rating for females and a 0.35 rating for males.

Compared to previous weeks, this week’s viewership of 655,000 is an increase from the 575,000 viewers on May 21st and the 636,000 on May 28th. The special “Beach Break” edition on May 14th drew a higher 682,000 viewers. The viewership for the April 30th episode was 629,000. This indicates a relatively consistent audience for “Dynamite” in recent weeks.
