AEW WrestleDream Results: Adam Page Retains World Title, Big Heel Turn Happens

AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page vs. Samoa Joe took place at the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view from the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. 

Page worked over the left shoulder of Joe before Joe mounted a comeback, including hitting an STO. Page had a bloody lip. Page mounted a comeback and went for a moonsault off the top rope to the floor, but Joe got back into the ring and barely connected with it. They battled on the top rope before Page hit a sunset flip powerbomb. Page went for his finisher, but Joe avoided it and locked in the rear-naked choke. Page got to the bottom rope to break it up. Joe with headbutts then went for the muscle buster only for Page to hit avoid and hit the dead eye for 2. Page with the buckshot lariat then another one and a third one for the win. 

Winner: Page 

After the match, Page was going to raise the hand of Joe before Joe clotheslined him. The rest of The Opps joined in on the attack. Joe laid out Page with the muscle buster on the title.
