AEW WrestleDream Results: Swerve Strickland Returns, Turns Down MVP’s Offer

AEW booked the return of Swerve Strickland at the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event from the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA on Saturday night. He came out for a promo and said that karma is a mug and he’s medically cleared. He wanted to lay out his future plans.

MVP came out with Shelton Benjamin because he wanted to talk about the future. He said he would have consequences regarding his future and that Swerve’s career was floundering a little bit. He has a resume to take former champions and take them back to the top again. Swerve looked back on his history with MVP and said he looked up to Shelton. Swerve said that Prince Nana is still selling weed to high schoolers, and sometimes he can he bug him, but Nana is family and he doesn’t turn his back on family for anybody. Swerve told him to shove his business cards. Shelton said that they weren’t asking him. They shoved each other with them being separated by referees.

This proceeded to have Bobby Lashley make his AEW debut after reportedly signing with the promotion months ago.
