AEW has locked down another wrestler to a full-time deal as Lee Moriarty is now officially signed. The promotion confirmed the news late Friday night.
Lee accepted a contract offer more than a month ago after a Dark: Elevation match. He lost to Bobby Fish on the Rampage: The Buy-In pre-show on Friday night. He has still not won a match under the AEW banner after working five matches – our singles bouts and one tag team match.
Back at the September 8th Dynamite event in Cincinnati, Ohio, he lost to Daniel Garcia. Post-match, AEW President Tony Khan came out to offer him a contract, but at the time, it wasn’t known what type of contract it was.
Khan appeared on Friday’s Busted Open Radio and he spoke highly of the prospect so, with this full-time deal, he clearly sees some potential in Moriarty.
Moriarty has been in the pro wrestling business since 2015 and worked for various independent wrestling promotions as well as Ring of Honor and Major League Wrestling.
