At AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door, Orange Cassidy faced IWGP United States Champion Will Ospreay. Ospreay was accompanied by Aussie Open. Jim Ross came out to do commentary for this match.
They started out with a slow pace but they took things up to a crazy pace in the final few minutes of the match. There were tons of false finishes and at certain points, fans at the arena thought Cassidy was about to win but Ospreay would kick out at the last second. Ospreay won the match with the Strom Breaker finisher. Excellent match.
Aussie Open and Ospreay attacked Cassidy after the match. Trent and Rocky Romero ran down to make the save but they were taken out. Katsuyori Shibata came out to take out Ospreay and Aussie Open. Shibata and Cassidy then stood face to face. Ospreay put his sunglasses on Shibata.
