AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door PPV sells out

After a strong pre-sale, the remaining general public tickets for theAEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event went on sale today and sold out in minutes. There were 3,000 tickets left when the public got their chance to get a seat.

Thursday’s presale saw 11,000 tickets be sold in under 40 minutes. The show is set up for about 14,000 fans in attendance although the final number could be higher depending on how many production hold tickets will be released.

This will be the first jointly held show by All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling as the two have had a strong working relationship over the past year

The event marks AEW's second visit to the United Center as the first event at the arena took place last August for the First Dance edition of Rampage that saw CM Punk return to wrestling for the first time in seven years.

The final AEW pay-per-view event before the Forbidden Door will be the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view in Las Vegas that takes place later this month and is headlined by CM Punk challenging “Hangman” Adam Page for the World Heavyweight Title.
