IWGP Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley vs. Tetsuya Naito took place at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2024 pay-per-view event on Sunday night from the UBS Arena in Elmont, NY.
Moxley went right after Naito before he took him to the floor and slammed him on the announce table. They went back and forth before Naito caught him with a signature move. Naito went for a neck breaker, but Moxley avoided it and hit a DDT. Moxley with a driver for 2. Moxley was going to hit a DDT on a chair before the referee took away the chair. Moxley went for a DDT but Naito blocked it. Naito followed up with a brain buster then hit a reverse DDT for the win.
Winner: Tetsuya Naito
