Britt Baker last worked a match on March 18 at the AEW House Rules event against Anna Jay, but a back injury continues to get worse.
During Wednesday’s premiere episode of AEW All Access, the show featured Bakeer getting treatment on the injury leading up to Full Gear. She was later pulled from a scheduled match in January on Dynamite. At the time, it was reported that Baker’s injury was not considered serious and she was not expected to miss much time.
Since then, she’s only wrestled twice. While speaking Comicbook.com, she noted that the injury has spread to her neck.
“Unfortunately it’s getting worse,” Baker said. “Now it’s like a neck and a back problem. But it’s manageable. I’m tough, so I’ll always find ways to work. My championship reign was with a broken wrist. So I’ll figure it out one way or another. You’ve got to work your way around it, sometimes maybe trick your body into thinking, ‘Eh, it doesn’t really hurt that bad.'”
On Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, she went down to the ring to celebrate with Adam Cole to close the show as he worked his first match since June due to a history of concussions.
