The viewership numbers for AEW’s “Full Gear” special are in.
The special did 245,000 viewers on Friday night on TNT. It ranked #83 in the top 150 shows on cable for the day and did a 0.09 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
To compare, the September All Out special did 357,000 viewers on a Saturday afternoon, ranked #23 in the top 150 shows on cable for the day and did a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The important thing was that it stayed even in the key demo despite airing at 11 PM at night.
This was a one-hour special that featured footage shown meant to be the final hype for Saturday’s Full pay-per-view. Obviously, the show was taped, but TNT and AEW should happy with that number considering the competition. No other information on the demographics are known because it ranked outside of the top 150 shows on cable.
Just like the rest of the week, news stations dominated cable due to Presidental election coverage. AEW returns to pay-per-view in February for its Revolution show.
