AEW’s Deal Offered To Daniel Garcia Was Significantly Higher Than WWE

Daniel Garcia is staying with AEW, which is something he confirmed in a promo segment on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

Garcia reportedly signed the new deal with AEW despite having strong interest from WWE earlier this week. That was after he had not been seen since putting over MJF at All Out. Garcia had laid out MJF following the bout.

In the segment, Garcia stated the answer behind staying with AEW isn’t the easiest or the most popular. He said he would remain where the best wrestlers are, AEW, and change his vision of himself.

He called out everyone in AEW who currently holds gold. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the deal offered to Garcia was higher than what WWE was willing to give him.

Meltzer wrote, “The way he explained it on the air and Khan as well was that it was a hard decision. Those in WWE said more than a month back that the AEW deal was significantly higher, and they expected he would take it.”
