AEW star Eddie Kingston was scheduled to work the Dark Horse event presented by DEFY Wrestling this past Saturday night, but he didn’t make it.
It was announced at the time Eddie couldn’t be at the show due to travel issues. He was slated to work a “Seattle Street Fight” match.
On Monday, Kingston took to Twitter to issue a statement and revealed that the reason he missed the event was due to him being in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 so he did the responsible thing and stayed home instead of going to the event.
Kingston wrote, “So @defyNW I was exposed to someone who tested positive for covid, so I didn’t want to take any risk until I got cleared and I am. I promise to get to Seattle 2022.”
The Dark Horse event saw AEW agent Christopher Daniels win the promotion’s interim world title. AEW didn’t previously announce anything featuring Kingston for Wednesday’s Dynamite, but with him being in the clear, he could still appear on the broadcast.
