All Elite Wrestling star Jake Hager is stepping back into the MMA cage later this month.
Hager (2-0 MMA record) is booked to fight against Brandon Calton (2-0 MMA record) on October 29 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.
The prelims will air on CBSSports.com and the main card will air on CBS Sports Network. Check your cable guide to see if CBS Sports Network is part of your service.
Hager last fought in September 2019 and the fight was declared a no-contest after kneeing Anthony Garrett in the groin several times. The groin strike has become part of Hager’s offense in AEW and as a way for him to generate heat.
Hager’s return to MMA could mean that he won’t be getting too physical on AEW Dynamite since he will be cutting weight and to avoid a potential injury before the fight.
The news about Hager’s return was first reported by MMA Junkie.
