AEW’s Jay White Is Not Expected To Be Sidelined For A Long Time With Injury

Jay White was going to compete in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, where the winner will challenge for the AEW World Heavyweight Title at All In: Texas. However, he got injured and is out of the tournament, as revealed on AEW Dynamite.

It was said that the Death Riders attacked him and couldn’t compete anymore. They didn’t show any video of this attack. Fightful Select reports that White is hurt and needs surgery.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted he heard it was a hand injury, while Bryan Alvarez stated White wouldn’t be sidelined for long.

Meltzer: “So, what did you hear? I heard Jay White broken hand and surgery.”

Alvarez: “I heard the Jay White was injured, but I guess surgery. I just heard it was not expected he was going to be out a really long time, whatever that means, but he’s out. It’s a legitimate injury.”
