AEW’s Plans For Next Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Page Match

Hangman Page vs. Swerve Strickland has been an ongoing rivalry in AEW over the last year. That has continued on AEW television despite Swerve having one of the biggest matches to date in his career ahead of him.

Their first match happened in October 2023, before they worked the following month. Later in February, they had a highly praised yet violent Texas death match at the Full PPV event. They later worked a triple threat match at AEW Revolution for the AEW World Title. They were also enemies on separate teams in this year’s Blood & Guts match.

Strickland is slated to defend the World Title against Bryan Danielson at All In later this month in a title vs. career match. There is also a Casino Gauntlet match at the same event, in which the winner will secure a future shot at the AEW World Championship. Page doesn’t have a match lined up for All In, although he could work the Casino Gauntlet.

Ibou of WrestlePurists reported on Twitter that “Swerve Strickland vs. ‘Hangman’ Adam Page is currently planned for AEW All Out in Chicago.” All Out goes down just under two weeks after All In on September 7th.
