Ricky Starks made a name for himself in the NWA before going to AEW during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was quickly part of Team Taz before splitting off to be his own man and has slowly risen up the card where he is a notable uppercard to main event player for the promotion.
Starks, real name Richard Starks, has locked down his ring name. The AEW wrestler, through his company, Dream Palace, had attorney Michael Dockins file the trademark with the USPTO for the purposes of merchandise services on May 11. Here is the description:
“Mark For: RICKY STARKS™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of hats; Shirts; Socks; Bandanas; Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts.”
Starks will wrestle Jay White this Wednesday night on AEW Dynamite.
AEW has yet to confirm a match for Starks at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view event on May 28, 2023, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
