AEW’s Tay Conti reacts to Big Swole/Tony Khan controversy, WWE star responds to Khan
Tay Conti has issued a statement after the fallout from the statements from Big Swole and Tony Khan. If you haven’t read it, you can read what Big Swole said at this link. The backlash has been swift from fans and some wrestlers but there are many on Twitter who are also defending AEW and pointing out that some of the names being pushed are from different ethnic backgrounds.
Tay Conti, who recently challenged Dr. Britt Baker, DMD for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear, said on Twitter that she has been treated well in AEW.
Conti said the following on Twitter while also promoting tonight’s AEW Rampage:
“As y’all know I’m Latina & I know the struggles. I have an accent & cutting promo on National TV is not something that you see normally but AEW & TK makes me feel comfortable and not ashamed doing it #TayJay vs Bunny & Penelope start almost a YEAR AGO & it ends tonight. Watch US.”

Killer Kelly tweeted:
To everyone saying “he wasn’t wrong”, “he should be able to defend himself”… I’m just saying that this isn’t the way to address anything, specially when you are an authority figure. Address people in private or don’t at all. That’s the way I believe things should be handled.
