AEW’s Thunder Rosa says she’s in a lot of pain, can’t feel her legs

Thunder Rosa announced on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite that she had to pull out of her scheduled bout against Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s Title at All Out due to injury.

AEW has booked Storm vs. Britt Baker vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Hikaru Shida in a fatal 4-way bout at All Out to crown the Interim Women’s Champion. Rosa will remain the Women’s Champion and face the Interim Women’s World Champion to unify the titles.

While speaking on today’s episode of Busted Open Radio, Rosa detailed the pain from the back injury by noting that she will likely be out for a couple of months and can’t feel her legs.

“I’m not the best physically right now. I’m not going to lie. I was in a lot of pain yesterday…a lot has been happening the last couple of weeks. I’m going to be out of commission…I’m not sure for how long. For a couple of months probably because of the problem with my back….Back problems are not easy. Some days are good, some days are not, and yesterday was not a good day. I was in a lot of pain, so right now I’m laying in my bed on my computer doing the show and I’m in a lot of pain. So yeah, I can’t feel my legs.”

Tommy Dream discussed the seriousness of back injuries and the need to let your body heal.

“That’s one of the reasons I am taking time off,” Rosa stated. “I want to clear the air. This is not fake. This is not a work. I’m not comparing injuries to injuries. If I could f**king walk, I would f**king walk. I’m sorry. My doctor didn’t clear me to wrestle and I’m not cleared to wrestle. Not that I don’t want to do a match on Sunday, I can’t walk, and it’s a shame that this is being put on social media not only because it discredits me as an athlete, but it discredits me as a wrestler. I’m sorry guys. I want to walk when I’m forty. I have the right to say no, I can’t walk. I can’t do it. I have my whole life, I don’t want to have surgery, and if we keep doing this, then I’m going to be out for longer.”

Rosa continued, “Stop reading the dirt sheet, guys. Not everything that’s being said is true. Like seriously, that’s why I am here and clear the air. If anyone has a problem with me, you can call Busted Open. You can call my number, you can tell me to my face. I don’t hide from my problems. I don’t run from my problems. You can talk to me. My door is open. I have taken accountability for what’s happened.”

Rosa added to stop reading stupid “sh**t” online.
