AEW’s Will Ospreay Comments On How Much Longer He Plans On Wrestling

AEW star Will Ospreay recently appeared on “INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet,” where he offered a candid, and somewhat shocking, perspective on his eventual retirement from professional wrestling. Ospreay revealed he doesn’t like to dwell on the end of his career.

“I don’t like thinking of it,” Ospreay admitted. He envisions a sudden departure from the spotlight, rather than a planned farewell tour. “I think I will one day just disappear. I will just go, Ah, this is me. I won’t have anything really.”

Regarding his final match, Ospreay painted a deliberately provocative picture, contrasting it with the emotional retirement ceremonies common in the industry, such as Sting’s recent send-off. Instead of a tearful goodbye, Ospreay described a far more abrupt exit: “I will grab the microphone on live TV and say the C word, and then just drop the mic, ruin this and then I’ll just go be a postman somewhere.”

He further emphasized his desire for a controversial departure: “Like that big Sting retirement, where everyone’s like coming out and like cupping their hands, tears in their eyes, and I just grab the microphone and go ‘c*nt!’ That’s the way I want to go out.
