A new addition to All Elite Wrestling is on the horizon as another ex-WWE star is expected to join the promotion.
Ricochet, who recently moved to the alumni section on WWE.com, bid farewell to WWE TV last month before parting ways with the company. His deal expired with the company at midnight on July 1, and he’s a free agent.
During his time with WWE, Ricochet held various titles, including the Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, and NXT North American Champion. He won the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and was the inaugural WWE Speed Champion. Ricochet signed with WWE in 2018 but is ready to start a new journey with All Elite Wrestling.
Fightful Select reported that Ricochet was never expected at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door as he was not contractually able to appear at the show. Per today’s report, Ricochet is expected to be in the company soon, and Ricochet’s agent was backstage at AEW Dynamite this week.
Fightful was told the agent had led the subsequent talks between the two sides. It should be noted that Ricochet’s agent also represents a number of other wrestlers across WWE and AEW.
