Andrade El Idolo Breaks Silence On AEW Return

Andrade El Idolo has addressed his return on last night’s AEW Dynamite, with the former WWE star now being confirmed as ‘All Elite’. Having reappeared in AEW following his departure from WWE, Andrade would disappear from screens with reports of a one-year non-compete clause in his contract coming out. The January 7, 2026, episode of AEW Dynamite in Tulsa, Oklahoma, would see Andrade El Idolo make his official return, joining the Don Callis Family.

With Tony Khan confirming that Andrade is now ‘All Elite’, the former WWE star has thanked the AEW owner in a post on Twitter, stating: “Once again, thank you very much, Sir!!! @AEW vamos a romperla!!” The last sentence of his post translates to “we’re going to break it,” with Andrade looking to make an impact following his return. A separate Twitter post would see the star declare: “LATINO MAN ‘ANDRADE EL IDOLO’ Is Back @AEW.”

Andrade was unveiled as the newest addition to the Don Callis Family, with the former Jake Something also joining the heel faction. Now performing under his real name, Jake Doyle, he made his debut earlier in the night by attacking JetSpeed (Kevin Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey) to collect a bounty put out by Don Callis and AEW National Champion Ricochet. Despite the Young Bucks and Jack Perry being victorious in their match against The Demand (Bishop Kaun, Ricochet, and Toa Liona), it was the Don Callis Family who would dampen their celebration by launching a post-match assault.

The January 7 episode featured a packed card at the BOK Center, including Jon Moxley successfully defending the AEW Continental Championship against Shelton Benjamin. The match nearly went to a time limit draw, but Moxley secured the win with just five seconds remaining. In the main event, “Hangman” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland defeated HOOK and Powerhouse Hobbs in a brutal Lights Out match. The show also marked the return of Jim Ross to the commentary booth in his home state.
