AEW has announced that Fenix has been pulled from the Casino Ladder Match at Saturday’s Double Or Nothing pay-per-view. He will be replaced by Joey Janela.
Fenix was injured on AEW Dynamite when he did a big dive over the top rope. The competitors failed to catch him and he landed hard on the floor on his back and hip. Fenix had hoped to work the show but the decision was made for him not to wrestle. AEW did note that the injury was not too serious and he’s expected back in the ring soon.
As noted earlier, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. has also been pulled from the show after suffering a knee injury on Dynamite. There is no update on the nature of her injury but the belief is that it’s serious and she could be out of action for several months.
