AEW wrestler Bear Bronson announced today that his tenure with All Elite Wrestling is coming to an end. In a statement posted on his social media, Bronson revealed that his current contract with the promotion is set to expire on June 1, 2025, and he will officially become a free agent the following day.
Bronson expressed gratitude and a determined outlook for his future in professional wrestling. He wrote: “Tomorrow, I am officially a free agent in pro wrestling To everyone that believes in me, To my family, & to my beautiful wife: I love you all, I’m grateful to live this life & grind. Now, I chase EVERYTHING I’ve ever dreamed of in full force & bet on BEAR FUCKING BRONSON!”

Bear Bronson was perhaps best known in AEW as one-half of the tag team The Iron Savages, alongside his partner Bear Boulder. The formidable duo began teaming together on the independent circuit in 2017 and officially signed with All Elite Wrestling in May 2020, making appearances on AEW Dynamite, Rampage, and Dark.
The status of The Iron Savages as a team in AEW changed earlier this year. In February 2025, it was reported that Bear Boulder had been released by AEW following a January arrest on assault charges. The victim in that incident was later reported to be Boulder’s fiancée.
Despite not being prominently featured on AEW television programming in recent times, Bear Bronson has remained an active competitor in the broader wrestling scene. He has continued to take bookings and wrestle for various independent promotions, including Beyond Wrestling, Limitless Wrestling, C4, and Wrestling Open, showcasing his skills to different audiences.
Bronson’s departure follows other recent exits from All Elite Wrestling. Earlier this week, Abadon announced that her contract with AEW would not be renewed when it expires in June. Additionally, Mariah May’s profile was recently removed from AEW’s official website amid reports that she is expected to sign with WWE.
