Another top match for the AEW’s All Out pay-per-view could be in trouble as Rey Fenix was injured on Friday night.
Fenix teamed with Pentagon Jr. to take on Juventud Guerrera and Teddy Hart at Big Time Wrestling’s show in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
At one point, Fenix’s leg buckled after hitting a superkick while picking up Guerrera. An audible was called as Pentagon was pinned by Guerrara and Fenix was helped to the backstage area.
Thankfully, he did not break his leg and he was able to walk on it. Fenix told people that he was still hoping to do the Escalera de la Muerte (ladder match) against The Young Bucks at All Out. No word yet on the severity of the injury and no word on if this will affect his match at the AEW pay-per-view.
Fenix and Pentagon are scheduled to defend the AAA World Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks at All Out in Chicago.
Just spoke to Fenix and he is going to be ok. Thank god 🙏🏻 No break thank god
