At least 7 people suspended by AEW, including Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Christopher Daniels, third-party investigation underway

AEW has suspended Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Pat Buck, Chris Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, and Brandon Cutler following the backstage fight involving several top stars at AEW All Out this past Sunday night.

Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN confirmed Justin Barrasso’s report on SI.com this morning regarding the names mentioned above have been suspended. Dave Meltzer also reported that they’ve been suspended in addition to the Bucks and Omega. It’s unclear how long they will be suspended, but it’s longer than a week. Also, there is an external third-party investigation underway regarding the fight.

As previously noted, the fight started after CM Punk blasted Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and the AEW EVPs (The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega) at the media scrum. Regarding the EVPs, he alleged that they spread lies about him through the media, and they couldn’t manage Target.

This led to the fight where Punk allegedly threw punches at Matt Jackson, Steel threw a chair at Nick Jackson, and Steel was biting and pulling Omega’s hair. AEW producer Ace Steel was also involved in the fight.

It’s expected that Steel and Punk will be suspended or fired by the promotion.
