With AEW All In: Texas less than a week away, a new report from Fightful Select has shed light on the long-term planning that went into some of the show’s biggest matches.
AEW’s Long-Term Vision
According to the report, the Unified Championship match between Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada has been planned since last year, with the idea of unifying the International and Continental titles being in the works since before Omega’s return from diverticulitis.
The AEW Women’s World Championship match between Toni Storm and Mercedes Moné was also planned as a major attraction as of the early part of this year.
Scrapped Plans and Future Shows
The report also notes that a match pitting Cope and Christian Cage against FTR was discussed late last year and was an early plan for 2025. However, as previously reported, those plans have since changed.
With eight matches currently set for the show, it is expected that at least one more match with a “number of performers” will be added by Thursday’s Collision. However, the final card is not expected to have as many matches as previous All In events.
