Ring of Honor is set to undergo a significant change in its production and broadcast strategy. According to FightfulSelect.com, ROH will film a dedicated studio show in Jacksonville, Florida, on March 1, 2026, at WJCT Studios. This move marks a shift toward a localized filming model, and sources within AEW have indicated that this venue could become a regular home for the brand in the future.
Tony Khan’s Strategy for ROH Television
Tony Khan has maintained a very distinct view regarding the market value of ROH television rights. While All Elite Wrestling currently operates under a lucrative media rights agreement worth half a billion dollars, Khan has reportedly turned down offers for ROH that did not meet his specific valuation. In 2024, Warner Bros. Discovery offered a Friday night at 10 PM ET time slot for ROH programming. However, Khan passed on the offer and instead utilized the slot for a replay of AEW Dynamite on TruTV.
He has expressed a willingness to wait for a “perfect situation” with a media partner that offers a rights fee commensurate with the brand’s potential. Currently, ROH content remains primarily available through the HonorClub streaming service, which Khan has described as a profitable model that has seen a strong year in 2025.
Roster Development and “AEW: Ring of Honor”
Internal discussions have occasionally floated the idea of rebranding the promotion as “AEW: Ring of Honor” to leverage the parent company’s visibility. Khan has leaned into using ROH as a platform for both established stars and fresh developmental talent. Recent signings such as The Rascalz, Tommaso Ciampa, and the return of Andrade El Idolo have bolstered the overall roster depth across both brands.
