Backstage News On Chris Jericho’s AEW Contract Status

Chris Jericho has been with AEW since it started in 2019, helping launch the promotion as the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion.

In 2022, Jericho defeated Claudio Castagnoli to win the ROH World Title for the first time at Dynamite: Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City. He has worked with most of AEW’s top stars while also helping rising stars.

In a ladder war match, he will challenge Mark Briscoe for the title this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite. This is a rematch from WrestleDream, which saw Briscoe go over to retain the title.

WrestlePurists reports Jericho’s current AEW deal is up in 2025. It should be noted that time could be added should Jericho miss any time due to injury or time missed.
