Backstage News On Darby Allin’s AEW Status

AEW daredevil Darby Allin has been absent from television since his Continental Classic draw against Ricochet in New York City, a match that preceded a significant personal undertaking.

His current hiatus is due to his long-planned expedition to conquer Mt. Everest, which he has discussed for several years. The perilous climb itself is a big feat, typically requiring a demanding six to ten weeks, which significantly impacts his availability for AEW.

Back in January, Fightful was reportedly told that Allin was already on leave from television duties, with a return not anticipated until the Spring of 2025. More recent follow-ups by Fightful concerning his specific comeback date indicated that initial internal hopes within AEW were for Allin to be available by the Owen Hart Tournament.

There was also discussion about him being featured on the prominent Double Or Nothing event card. Despite these earlier expectations, no concrete updates on his return schedule have emerged, leaving fans and AEW officials eagerly awaiting news on when the high-flying star will make his next appearance.
