Fans of AEW can look forward to one of its top stars being back on television soon.
MJF took time off from AEW following AEW All Out after being attacked by Daniel Garcia. He joined the cast of Netflix‘s Happy Gilmore 2, which stars Adam Sandler, and took time off to film the project.
MJF plays Gordie, one of Sandler’s sons, in the film. Kyle Newacheck is directing from a script by Sandler and Tim Herlihy. Sandler, Herlithy, Jack Giarraputo, and Robert Simonds are producing it.
MJF previously had a role in A24’s “The Iron Claw” movie, where he played Lance Von Erich, and just wrapped the independent comedy “The Floaters,” starring alongside Seth Green and Aya Cash. MJF will also be in “Stranglehold” from Clark Duke alongside Ron Perlman, Jake Lacy, Ashley Benson, and Justin Long.
Fightful Select reports MJF was filming throughout September and wrapped in the last week of the month. It was added that he’s expected to be returning to AEW TV sooner than later. No other details were given.
