Because AEW has such a large roster, not everyone can be used.
Scorpio Sky falls into that category. While with AEW, he held the AEW TNT Championship on two separate occasions. Furthermore, he etched his name in AEW history as one half of the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions, alongside Frankie Kazarian, forming the popular tag team SCU (SoCal Uncensored) with Christopher Daniels.
Later, he formed the “Men of the Year” tag team with Ethan Page under Dan Lambert’s management. He has made limited television appearances since 2023.
In fact, Sky hasn’t wrestled for AEW/ROH since September 2023. He has worked on some independent shows, including House Of Lucha Nothing 2 Lose, in mid-September.
Fightful Select was asked about his status. Sean Ross Sapp noted, “Not injured, just waiting to be used.”
