Backstage News On The Young Bucks’ AEW Hiatus

AEW will be without The Young Bucks for the next few months as the top tag team will take time off from the promotion.

On Wednesday’s AEW Fright Night Dynamite, Private Party beat the Young Bucks to both win the AEW Tag Team Titles and avoid splitting up as a team. News broke coming out of the show that Nicholas Jackson has been working with a separated shoulder.

It was added that the injury had been bothering him for weeks. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that while there is no timetable for his return, the top act won’t be wrestling at Full Gear later this month.

Meltzer wrote, “There is no set timetable for a return past it’ll be for a while, and they aren’t scheduled for the Full Gear show. It’ll be no longer than January since they are confirmed for the joint AEW & NJPW show at the Tokyo on 1/5.”

The January 5th show is Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, a co-promoted pay-per-view event.

We wish him a speedy recovery.
