Backstage News On Will Ospreay’s Absence From AEW TV

Will Ospreay hasn’t been seen since last month, dropping the AEW International Championship in a triple threat match at the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event from the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA.

The bout also featured Konosuke Takeshita and Ricochet, and it was highly praised among fans. In the finish, Will took out Takeshita twice with his hidden blade until Don Callis pulled the referee out of the ring on a pin attempt.

Kyle Fletcher hit Will with a screwdriver, leading to Ospreay being pinned after taking a running knee by Takeshita for the win. Fletcher hit Ospreay with the tiger driver after the match. Ospreay disappeared from TV after the angle, leading to fans wondering where he had been.

PWInsider.com reports that Ospreay has disappeared for a few weeks due to a routine work visa renewal situation, which required him to remain home in the UK until completed. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on when he will make his AEW TV return.
