Big AEW Plans In The Works For Kenny Omega?

Kenny Omega’s ominous promo on AEW Dynamite wasn’t just a throwaway line—it was a direct tease for a major shift. A new report from Fightful Select indicates that the former AEW World Champion is poised to return to the main event spotlight and challenge for the company’s top prize.

“Taking Care Of Something”

During this week’s episode of Dynamite, The Young Bucks announced they were not medically cleared to compete for the remainder of 2025. Omega responded with a layered statement that hinted at unfinished business.

“Whether we tag or not, The Elite are The Elite. I’m always gonna be with these guys. They always got my back and I’m always gonna have theirs. But maybe this gives me the chance to take care of something that I need to take care of something that I need to take care of myself. So while you guys [are] resting up, I’m gonna do something that I think I should have done a little while ago.”

Return To The Main Event

Fightful Select has provided clarity on Omega’s cryptic message, confirming that it was a deliberate setup for his next storyline arc.

“There was a segment on AEW this week where Kenny Omega mentioned that he had to take care of some things. We’re told this specifically was to reference him possibly being in the world title scene soon.”

This would mark a significant return to form for Omega, who has been largely absent from the world title picture in recent times.
