Josh Alexander’s deal with TNA Wrestling expired today, and he officially hit free agency.
Ahead of his entering the market, PWInsider reported that Alexander is being repped by wrestling super agent Barry Bloom to get his next deal done. Bloom represents several wrestlers and people in wrestling, including Kenny Omega and Jim Ross.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross reports those within AEW, near Alexander, and in the industry that Alexander was expected to sign with AEW if he hasn’t already. Those in WWE confirmed he had not signed with the company, although there had been interest in the company using him last year.
It’s unclear if the deal has been officially signed yet. Regardless, AEW is the expected landing point.
