Big match pulled from AEW Double Or Nothing because of creative differences

AEW Double Or Nothing

An angle was shot today in Nottingham, England between "Hangman" Adam Page and PAC.

The assumption by the fans at the show was that they were just building towards their match at AEW Double Or Nothing but PAC made it clear to the crowd that he would not be at the show and he would not be part of All Elite Wrestling.

It turns out that he was telling the truth and the match with Page is off, according to Dava Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The word from AEW is that the match was pulled because of creative differences. Meltzer noted that since PAC takes his World Champion status at Dragon Gate seriously, he has not agreed to lose any matches since winning the Open the Dream Gate title so he can protect the 30 minute draws he's done with Zack Sabre Jr. and Will Ospreay. AEW wants a sports-like atmosphere for their shows and they had their own direction. I would presume that this means that Page was booked to beat PAC at Double Or Nothing.

The PAC vs. Page match from Nottingham will be released online by AEW this week so they can at least deliver on the promised match. Meanwhile, Page will be wrestling against someone else at Double Or Nothing but it's not known who that person will be.

The DQ finish at the show in Nottingham keeps the door open for PAC vs. Page to happen sometime down the line.
