Book author claims AEW executive experienced inappropriate behavior from Dave Lagana
Former NWA VP Dave Lagana issued a statement today to POST Wrestling to refute the allegation that he sexually assaulted a woman, Liz Savage, in 2010. Lagana’s full statement can be read at this link.
You can read Liz Savage’s allegation below:
Well here's my #SpeakingOut which happened when I moved to California for wrestling. Essentially this was a big part of why I took my hiatus. pic.twitter.com/oetOYaVPxD

Now there is a new claim being made by “Ring Of Hell” author Matthew Randazzo. According to tweets posted earlier today, Randazzo says that a senior AEW executive also had a run-in with Lagana about inappropriate behavior. The tweet also includes a clip posted by David Bixenspan where Paul London and Brian Kendrick (from a 2010 shoot interview) backed up reports from over a decade ago about Lagana’s firing. London said he heard that WWE fired him in 2008 for sexual harassment.
Randazzo says that he has heard from more than 10 sources on the incident with the AEW executive and he says he has reached out to AEW’s press contact for corroboration on the story.
DAVE LAGANA UPDATE: I believe @lizsavage & thank her for speaking out.
Secondly, mult original sources & now new WWE sources contacted me to confirm misconduct accusations in WWE.
NEW: Been told a senior AEW executive also had a run-in with Lagana about inappropriate behavior. https://t.co/ETMPxmXiZO

Reminder: after mult colleagues went on record to discuss WWE writer Dave Lagana accusations of sexual misconduct w employees, companies ROH, TNA, and NWA all hired him in what I believe were exec capacities.
What due diligence was done to protect employees?

Lastly, if the accusations dating back to WWE are all false, it is an extremely large conspiracy involving many people for well over a decade never wavering.
It also involves name people I just met.

I have asked @AEWonTNT's press contact for corroboration on the story.
I will update once I hear more.
It is my expectation and hope that, if the story is true, AEW leadership will showcase courage and real investment in reforming this industry by sharing what they know.

The NWA announced last week that Lagana resigned after the allegation from Liz Savage.
Pursuant to allegations made by pro wrestler Liz Savage on her Twitter account, 6/18/2020, NWA VP David Lagana has resigned his position, effective immediately. As well all production of NWA content is temporarily halted, pending a restructuring of executive management positions.
