On this week's "The Hall of Fame" podcast, Booker T shared his thoughts on a potential Steve Austin vs. Kevin Owens match at Wrestlemania, and how he feels about Sting wrestling at 62 years old.
Booker T’s thoughts on a potential Steve Austin vs Kevin Owens match at WrestleMania 38:
“I’ll tell you this," he began. "I have an exhibition match I’m going to be doing on March 31st, a little six man tag, putting the band back together. Me and RVD and one of my main guys, ‘Ruthless’ Ryan Davidson, are going to do a six man tag match against World Class Revolution, those guys down there in Dallas, and show them what it’s like to get in there with not just one Hall of Famer, but two Hall of Famers."
"Wait a minute, three Hall of Famers because I’m two Hall of Famers in one," he laughs. "We’re going to have a warm up match just to make sure I still have the legs and I still have the juice. Come Sunday, if the body is feeling right, and Stone Cold Steve Austin does not sign that contract, if he does not sign on the bottom line, Booker T will be ready, willing, and able to step in and do somebody real good, real fast.”
Booker talking about Sting wrestling at 62 years old:
“If he can still do it and that’s what he wants to do, more power to him. I’m not going to sit here and hate on Sting."
"Sting has said things about me in the past that still to this day I don’t agree with because making money is making money. I feel like me personally, I’m not going to say Sting shouldn’t be doing that. Sting is doing what he wants to do. Sting is obviously doing what he still loves to do.”
