Busted Open Radio Panel Says Less Than 5% of AEW Fans Want Jon Moxley to Win at All In

The main event of this Saturday’s AEW All In pay-per-view has major implications for the future of the company, and according to WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray, there is only one correct outcome. On a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Bully and his co-host Dave LaGreca made it clear they believe “Hangman” Adam Page must defeat Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship.

A “Missed Opportunity” If Page Loses

Bully Ray argued that after an 11-month storyline that has seen Moxley hold the championship without it being physically present on television, AEW has positioned “Hangman” Page as the person to end the controversial reign. He believes a loss for Page would be a massive disappointment for the audience.

“If they do not pull the trigger on Hangman Page, they’re going to be in a situation like… the missed opportunities,” Bully stated. “I think that they have positioned Hangman Page to be the guy. This is your biggest show. This is your biggest house in the United States… You have built Hangman Adam Page up. He’s there. Are you really gonna let everybody down?” He added, “Hangman Adam Page, in my opinion, needs to win this match, or AEW will be letting down their fan base.”

No One Wants Moxley to Win

Both hosts agreed that the sentiment among AEW’s audience is overwhelmingly in favor of a title change. “I would say there is less than 5% of the AEW fan base who want to see Jon Moxley retain,” Bully claimed. “I don’t even think the most die-hard Jon Moxley supporter… wants to see Jon Moxley win again. Because this whole death artist thing, this whole experiment… has not worked.”

LaGreca went even further, suggesting that a Moxley victory could have a negative impact on viewership. “I think they might even be turned off if Jon Moxley retains this championship tomorrow,” LaGreca said. “I think it would turn off fans enough where they may turn the channel and not want to watch for a little bit.”

A Call for a “Feel Good Moment”

In the end, the panel urged AEW to give the fans a satisfying conclusion to the long storyline. LaGreca argued that the Texas Death Match should be the main event and that the company should allow the moment to breathe. “Let Hangman Page have that moment in front of that 23,000 fans,” he said. “Let the fans celebrate that they finally got that title away from Jon Moxley… Let this be a feel-good moment for AEW and its fan base.”

The AEW World Championship Texas Death Match between Jon Moxley and “Hangman” Adam Page is set to be one of the three main events at the All In: Texas pay-per-view this Saturday. The show will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
