Chris Jericho comments on Sammy Guevara’s bloody chairshot to Matt Hardy

Chris Jericho gave his thoughts on the accident involving Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara.

It happened on this past Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite when the two stars were brawling. Sammy threw a chair at the face of Hardy, who tried to get his hands up. As a result, Hardy had a cut on his forehead and was heavily bleeding.

It turns out that Sammy got excited and threw the chair harder than he was supposed to do. The angle didn’t originally intend to have blood as Hardy didn’t blade.

Jericho talked about it during a Saturday Night Special live stream on his YouTube channel. This is where he called it a happy incident.

“I think so, he got some pretty crazy stitches from the chair shot from Sammy. We call that a happy incident in the business.”

He recalled when he accidentally punched Shawn Michaels’ wife for real during their legendary program.

“It’s a terrible, terrible feeling when you hurt somebody by mistake. But when we found out she was okay and she wasn’t going to have any issues, it became a happy accident to where you suddenly have this feud that’s taken to a completely different level. That was what it’s like with Sammy and Matt. Thankfully, Matt’s okay. But now blood has been shed and I’m sure Matt does more than want to get his revenge. I think it’s going to add a lot of different layers to that angle.”
