Chris Jericho has locked down another trademark as he filed for the term, “Sports Entertainer,” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Kingston recently referred to Jericho as a "Sports Entertainer" on an episode of AEW Dynamite and it looks like Jericho is running with it. The "Sports Entertainer" phrase has been used for decades by Vince McMahon in lieu of calling his talent "pro wrestlers."

It was filed by Michael E. Dockins on the behalf of Chris Irvine, Inc on February 28th. Here is the description of the filing for entertainment purposes:

“Mark For: SPORTS ENTERTAINER trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”
