Chris Jericho files trademark for a new nickname

Chris Jericho has locked down another trademark as he filed for the term, “The Wizard” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

It was filed by Michael E. Dockins on the behalf of Chris Irvine, Inc on May 5. Here is the description of the filing for entertainment purposes:

“Mark For: THE WIZARD™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”

Two weeks ago on AEW Dynamite, Jericho threw a fireball at Eddie Kingston’s face, leading to him being called The Wizard. Jericho beat Santana in a grudge match last week. This week, the Jericho Appreciation Society will have a victory speech on Dynamite.

Over the last few months, Jericho has filed trademarks for the terms “Sports Entertainer” and “The Influencer.”
