Chris Jericho on CM Punk: AEW’s gonna thrive and survive with or without him

Chris Jericho is considered one of the locker room leaders in AEW, and when it comes to CM Punk, he has reportedly made his feelings known.

Following the AEW All Out post-event conference and the brawl with The Elite, Jericho reportedly told Punk that he was a cancer to the promotion.

Punk recently went on a rant via Instagram about Jon Moxley’s pitch for a short match on Dynamite before their All Out bout, doing it while not being medically cleared and ripping Dave Meltzer and Jericho.

It’s been reported that several top AEW stars don’t want Punk back in the company. As previously reported, before the Instagram post, Punk and AEW were in talks for him to return as AEW President Tony Khan wanted to bring Punk back.

While appearing on The Mark Madden Show, Jericho was asked whether he thinks Punk will return and joked about how they’re not on each other’s Christmas card list.

“You know, I’m not, but I wasn’t on Scott Hall’s Christmas card list, or I wasn’t on Eric Bischoff’s Christmas card list. You don’t have to be best friends to coexist, so, to me, that’s not really my wheelhouse. I’m not in charge of that. I’m sure there will be some answers to that pretty quickly, I would assume, either way. But to us, AEW’s gonna thrive and survive with or without him, so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.”
