Chris Jericho on WWE/AEW war and Vince McMahon’s decision to move NXT to USA Network

Chris Jericho appeared on Busted Open Radio on Monday with Dave LaGreca and Bully Ray.

Among many things, he spoke about WWE’s decision to move NXT to the USA Network to counterprogram against All Elite Wrestling on TNT.

“By adding another 2 hours, that really dilutes their product,” Jericho said. “It dilutes their mindset. It dilutes their focus. It’s a reactionary move. It’s done by a guy who wants to start a war when we don’t care if you want to start a war. That was never our intention. There’s no war for us. We’re just doing what we’re doing. Some people don’t like that and they’re reacting to it.”

Jericho noted how WCW Monday Nitro would start at 7:57 pm so they could get their pyro going before WWE got on the air on the USA Network.

He said that WWE should worry about their own show and added, “I don’t care about any other wrestling company in the world. I want everyone to do good. Everyone do what you wanna do, be the best you can be … we don’t care and I think that’s one of the reasons it makes us cool. It’s a typical thing, the more other people do, the more it makes us look revolutionary and cool and we haven’t even started yet. Just wait until we start.”
