All Elite Wrestling’s top star is not done with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Chris Jericho made it clear on Instagram that he will be returning to NJPW. “I’m coming back…I will return… @njpw1972,” Jericho said on Instagram.
Following his loss to Tetsuya Naito at Wrestle Kingdom 13, Jericho stated that he wants a match with IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi.
Tanahashi is one of the best wrestlers in the world and arguably one of the best wrestlers in the history of the business and certainly in New Japan Pro Wrestling history. Jericho is has found ways to reinvent himself and stay relevant and has more buzz around him now than at any other time in his wrestling career.
A Jericho vs. Tanahashi match, perhaps at Wrestle Kingdom 14, would be a dream match that would get a lot of people talking.
Jericho’s deal with AEW allows him to continue working with NJPW.
