The Blood and Guts match between The Pinnacle and The Inner Circle headlined this week's episode of AEW Dynamite. Sammy Guevara and Dax Harwood started the match. They wrestled for 5 minutes before the next person entered the match.

Shawn Spears entered the match with a steel chair and he used it early on Guevara. Harwood was busted open early in the match. Ortiz got a massive pop when he entered the match. He evened things up for the babyfaces by using chairs as weapons. Guevara hit a sick-looking Spanish Fly off the top ropes from the two rings. Guevara was also busted open.

When Hager entered the match, he and Warlow fought in the center of the ring and into the side of the cage. Hager appeared to have already been bleeding when he entered the match. MJF was the last man to enter the match for Pinnacle and Chris Jericho was the last man for The Inner Circle. Cash Wheeler was also bloodied.

During a commercial break, FTR pulled up the mat from the ring to expose the wood. They hit a spike piledriver on two Pinnacle members. Guevara then hit a coast-to-coast dropkick into a chair on the face of Spears. Jericho took off part of the ring ropes and he used the turnbuckle steel on MJF's face. Santana then used a fork on MJF's bloodied forehead.

As they went to a picture-in-picture break, Tully Blanchard attacked the referee, and then he grabbed a key to open the cage door to allow MJF to get out and climb up to the top of the cage. Jericho climbed up to meet MJF on the top. Jericho locked in the Walls of Jericho but MJF used a low blow to break free. MJF applied the Salt of the Earth armbar submission, followed by attacks on the left arm. MJF then locked in the submission hold again but Jericho refused to submit. MJF then hit Jericho in the head with the Dynamite Diamond ring. That shot was enough for Jericho to get busted open.

MJF tried to throw Jericho off the top of the cage. As members of The Inner Circle climbed up, Guevara said they will surrender to save Jericho. MJF still went ahead and tossed Jericho off the top of the cage and to the stage. Several of the trainers ran out to check on Jericho as MJF stood on top of the cage.
