Chris Jericho: would love to work with Adam Cole, WCW’s Ralphus passed away, no plans to retire soon

Chris Jericho took questions from fans last night during a late night edition of the “Saturday Night Special” on Facebook and YouTube. One persona asked for his thoughts on Adam Cole.

Jericho said, “I never met Adam Cole, I don’t think until AEW. He’s come to a few of our shows. He’s obviously Britt Baker’s boyfriend. What a great guy, a sweetheart of a guy, great worker. I’d love to work with him at some point if the cards ever align. Congratulations to all his success.”

Another person asked how long he has left as a wrestler. Jericho responded, “I don’t know, like I said I thought in 2015 I might be done. I thought in 2005 I might be done. So I’m really enjoying it. I’m having some of the best times of my life, of my career. I completely have creative fulfillment and I’m just excited to be a part of this company, excited to help guys like Orange Cassidy to get to the next level and there’s a whole locker room full of them. I ain’t going anywhere soon.”

Jericho also briefly mentioned that Ralphus passed away last year. “I just found out he passed away like last year. God bless John Riker, that was his real name.”

Riker was a truck driver for WCW and was put on TV in a comedy role as Jericho’s bodyguard. He was paired with Norman Smiley for a while after Jericho left to go to WWE.

Also during the Q&A, Jericho also talked about the Mimosa Mayhem Match with Orange Cassidy and he said that his program with Cassidy has ended. He added that fans will know this Wednesday night who he will be working with next.

In regards to the crowd audio not coming through on the pay-per-view, Jericho noted that the sound does not travel well because Daily’s Place is an open-air venue. So, similar to a WrestleMania inside an open-air venue, it’s tougher to hear the fans on TV but they were into the All Out PPV.

Jericho also gave his thoughts on Kevin Owens, Brock Lesnar, his favorite match at All Out, Alice Cooper, growing up as a Hulkamaniac, his favorite match with Shawn Michaels and much more.
