RJ City is not jobless, nor is he leaving AEW. The popular host’s YouTube show, Hey! (EW), has ended, but he is sticking around the promotion. Fightful Select has confirmed that RJ City is not departing the company, as his contract isn’t ending.
The decision to conclude Hey! (EW) was made some time ago. The final segment featuring Eddie Kingston was actually filmed at WrestleDream in October, indicating the long lead time on the show’s wrap-up. The production team worked to crank out as many interviews as possible in the time they had left to edit.
In addition to ending his AEW digital show, RJ City also made the choice to end his independent series, “RJ City Makes Coffee In His Underwear,” at the same time. This move allows for a clean slate across his content portfolio. The coffee series had featured notable guests over its run, including “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
Despite these endings, RJ City will remain a visible part of AEW programming. He will continue to host the Zero Hour pre-show alongside Renee Paquette. He is also expected to continue contributing creatively behind the scenes, with the possibility of developing new content in the future.
