CM Punk was a topic on social media today following the recent comments made by AEW broadcaster Mark Henry on Busted Open Radio.
While discussing Punk’s future with AEW, Henry stated that he didn’t think Punk was a ‘cancer’ to the locker room, something reported to be the view of some people in AEW. He also noted that he thinks Punk is an outsider just like him and that if the decision were left up to him, he would bring Punk back to AEW.
Punk hasn’t wrestled since All Out, where he beat Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title, and hasn’t been seen in AEW since the All Out presser, where he blasted The Elite, Colt Cabana, and Hangman Page. He got into a fight with The Elite backstage at the show.
A fan commented on an article about Henry’s comments where the person stated, “Keep CM Punk retired.”
Punk responded with, “you liked your own comment. Bold. I’ll wrestle again just to upset you. You’ll watch no matter where.”
