CM Punk vs. Darby Allin is happening at AEW All Out

As noted earlier, CM Punk kicked off AEW Rampage on TNT and it was officially announced on social media that he has signed with the company.

Punk was very emotional as he thanked the Chicago fans. Punk said he has heard the fans for 7 years and he has a lot to say and he has the time to say things on future episodes of Rampage and Dynamite. Punk added that he’s not going anywhere.

He added that he could never get healthy if he stayed in the same place (WWE) that got him sick in the first place. Punk talked about his exit from Ring Of Honor in 2005. He said he cried when he left ROH because he helped to build a place where people can learn and build their craft and love pro wrestling.

Punk said he cried because he was leaving a place he loved and it wasn’t going to be easy to go to the next place (WWE). Punk said that it was in 2005 when he left professional wrestling and on August 20, 2021…”i’m back.”

Punk said he’s back because he wants to work with the passionate young talent and there’s a couple of scores to settle. Punk namedropped Darby Allin, who was in the rafters with Sting. Punk praised Allin for being tough for some of the crazy things he’s done. Punk said he wants to help Allin because there’s nothing more dangerous than wrestling CM Punk.

Punk said he will see Allin and Sting on September 5th at AEW All Out live on pay-per-view.
