This week on AEW Dynamite, MJF agreed to wrestle CM Punk next week in Chicago.
The match was made after MJF interrupted CM Punk’s in-ring promo. Punk told the fans in Cleveland that he was ready to wrestle tonight in an impromptu main event but MJF declined the offer.
MJF said next week in Chicago, the fans will see the real CM Punk. MJF said they will see the CM Punk who loses his smile when he doesn’t get what he wants and the guy who is more than willing to sue.
MJF said that Punk will just turn his back on the fans again and then he will cry about it on the podcast. Punk said that MJF listened to the podcast because he’s a fan.
Punk said the best thing he ever did was leave and the best thing he ever did was come back and now MJF is getting his brush with greatness. Punk also said that while some fans love him and some hate him, he never lied to the people but he doesn’t talk a big game and fail to show up like MJF. Punk said MJF used to stand in line to get his picture and autograph. Punk said the fans love him because he gets back up and he fights just like the fans in Cleveland.
FTR, Shawn Spears and Wardlow went out to attack Punk in the ring but it was noticeable that Wardlow was not taking part in the attack but he did follow orders when MJF ordered him to powerbomb Punk.
